Your post is thorough and informative because it provides sensitizations on the importance of conducting identity checks and employing contraband detection mechanisms to ensure the safety, security, and sustainability of military operations. Furthermore, you bring up compelling arguments as regards the use of the CTPED approach where you argue that one of its drawbacks is the assumption that criminals and hazards can be predicted. I agree with you because I am sure that terrorists are never standard offenders who can be predicted and their targets are not the same depending on motives. Also, they have robust capabilities of changing targets, which makes it difficult to use the CTPED approach. I would add another shortcoming, which involves the fact that this approach resists change while terrorists change their tactics based on changes in technology. This way, using the CTPED approach to deter and protect from terrorist attacks becomes tough. I commend you also for noting that the CPTED approach fails to sufficiently address the sources of threats and hazards as mentioned in THIRA, which is another shortcoming I observed as well.

As regards the ASCE Report Card, I see that we share the same sentiments that the American infrastructure scores very low, which is an indication that it needs serious upgrades and repairs. We also concur that while these upgrades and repairs are vital, they will probably cost the country trillions of dollars in the next few years, especially considering that infrastructure is the mainstay of the American economy. Another point on which we share the same thoughts is that the sectors and infrastructure systems that are of the most significant concern are transportation infrastructure systems, energy, aviation, and water systems. Thank you for these great thoughts.
