POL 201 Week 5 Final Paper Americas Democracy
The American national government has many pros and cons. There are many ways in which these can be fixed in order to create less problems for the national government. The key structures, systems, roles, and processes that embody our national government are very detailed and need very crucial attention when determining the pros and cons of the government. It is very easy to look at another country and compare the governments together, in my opinion as looking at America’s government compared to that of other countries, ours is indeed the strongest regardless of the negatives that it does have. There are many important documents that we as Americans look onto. Probably, one of the most important documents that our nation does utilize on a daily basis is the United States Constitution. When the founding fathers created this document, the three words probably are “We the People,” this shows that the US Constitution is deeply important and that the people are the ones that are protected with this. This is built on the idea of: life, liberty and freedom. I believe that the US Constitution has been extremely important because it has lasted for so long. The only reason that it could have lasted is because of the way that it was written. Very intricate and many ways of looking at a scenario. We are still going back to the constitution now and looking at the way our founding fathers could have interpreted the information. Each case is decided by using it. When the founding fathers created this document, they established a durable government constructed on the basis of consensus. The Preamble “We the People,” makes the Constitution the creation of the American people. (Heritage.org 2015). Built on the central ideas of civil liberty, freedom and divided government power, each with separate functions, no one branch will have sufficient power to encroach upon the rights and liberties of individuals (Levin-Waldman 2012). When state or federal laws are in question, the US Supreme court convenes to determine the validity. The court also looks into the cases and looks to see how the founding fathers would
