Mortality Rate Analysis Cardiovascular Disease Case Study
Mortality Rate Analysis Cardiovascular Disease Case Study3IntroductionThe focus of this study is to examine the mortality rate among two MCOs, Bluegrass East (BGE) and Bluegrass West (BGW). The mortality rate connected to cardiovascular disease within these communities will be the focus of the analysis. Throughout the analysis the data will be standardized, by adjusting the dimensions surrounding actual population, age, and gender. BGE has a total population of 100,000,and BGW has a population of 120,000. BGE’s population consists of a higher proportion of older people, and has a higher proportion of women than BGW. The crudedisease-specific mortality rate for cardiovascular disease is 290 per 100,000 in BGE, and 160 per 100,000 in BGW (Fleming, 2008). The analysis will look for any trends thatmay exist between these two populations, and look to estimate future morta
