Your post is greatly enlightening, comprehensively written, and with adequate use of evidence to back points. As I read through it, I realized that we share the same sentiments are regards the role of a private industry security officer in the development of a business continuity plan. In particular, we agree that this officer is the principal player in establishing how security risks are identified and determined, assessing the impacts of these risks, implementing remedial solutions for risk mitigation, and adopting new technologies in executing the organizational security mandate. However, I am quite confused concerning your response to the question of what security priorities and threats concern private industry security professionals than they concern public security professionals. Rather than addressing these security priorities and threats, you dwelt on asking new sets of questions that you never answered. The only priorities I was able to identify from your argument were issues of profitability and moral patriotism. Lastly, I agree with you regarding the evolution of the role of a CSO in the last two decades in that a CSO to be endowed with technical skills in digital technologies and crisis management to function effectively in security domains. Thank you for such wonderful thoughts.
