Use your textbook, notes, and content slides to gather information to complete the following three (3) diagrams/drawings and definitions.

  1. Design your own Gingival Description Chart.
    1. Color, Consistency, Texture, Contour
    2. Healthy vs Unhealthy

  2. Find Two (2) Images: one (1) healthy image of gingiva and one (1) unhealthy/diseased image of gingiva.
    Describe the clinical gingival appearance for attached and free using Color, Consistency, Texture, Contour for each picture.
  3. Define attached gingiva vs free gingiva.
  4. Define and explain what mobility, furcation, and fremitus are.
    List and Describe     the classifications for mobility, furcation, and fremitus.

  5. Define pocket depth and CAL.
  6. Describe the difference between a pseudopocket, a periodontal pocket, and a healthy gingival sulcus.
