Considering the changes in the technology, which includes high-speed internet and teleconferencing, collaboration, communication, and teamwork, has been more effective and easy. Therefore, collaboration helps in promoting teamwork and effective communication within the workplace.Importance of Teamwork and Collaboration in NursingIn nursing, communication, teamwork, and collaboration are important in enhancing the productivity of the medical personnel and practitioners with the hospitals. The optimization of team performance and collaboration is appropriate in developing patient-centered models to deliver quality care and education learning. Without good communication, the employees can obtain a better understanding of the customer’s needs and enhance customer satisfaction within the workplace.CommunicationCommunication acts as a way of exchanging information and ideas among the different individuals with the organization. It is important for individuals to understand how to explain their ideas and how to connect with other persons to improve communication (Boykins, 2014). Listening skills are useful in improving the ability of persons to communicate well.ConclusionIn summary, it is clear that effective communication and teamwork and collaboration helps in maintaining a good relationship with patients, families and the team to provide better patient outcomes. Through communication and collaboration programs, the organization can accomplish the key patient’s outcomes. As a result, communication, teamwork, and collaboration are useful in assessing the strengths and weaknesses to enhance performance and productivity among the employees.
