Compare and contrast the current political opinions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). In a 4-5 page paper, complete the following: -Briefly summarize the PPACA and the opposing argument against the PPACA. Include what the PPACA will cover and what does it NOT cover. Be sure to include a clear representation of both sides the argument. -Interview two staff nurses and two physicians (one maybe a nurse practitioner/physician assistant) regarding their opinion of the PPACA. Describe their opinions/thoughts/ideas. -Has this experience changed your initial opinion of healthcare in the United States, why or why not? Explain. -Describe how the PPACA impacts you as a professional nurse. The grading rubric is: -Your report of the experience. Include a clear description of the event or project, your initial preconceived ideas of the event or project and how this experience impacted you as a future nurse (15%) -Individual project requirements (see descriptions above) (70%) -APA format, editing, & clarity. Writing skills should demonstrate your ability to articulate ideas clearly and analyze the pertinent issues. Must utilize at least 2 nursing or allied health research journals as references.
