Thank you for presenting such an informative post. I agree with you that emerging technologies present the most significant challenge for contemporary security professionals. As you suggest, it is evident that technological advances associated with emerging technologies enable terrorists and cybercriminals to develop creative and sophisticated ways of gaining illegal access to, stealing, or compromising data, systems, and networks. This challenges security professionals in that it makes it extremely difficult for them to detect these breaches and stay ahead of their related threats and risks. I also concur with you that security professionals face the challenge of finding qualified people to fill the security positions and augment their capabilities in handling the challenges. In my initial post, I called this challenge the skill gap challenge and noted that it continues to expand seeing that millions of cybersecurity job posts remain unfilled globally as the security professionals to fill these posts are not enough. I am glad that your post has also reminded me of the importance of personnel training when taking up a new security assignment. You have done a great job in creating this post.
