Your thoughts about the lists of strategic leader competencies, essential skills, and metacompetencies are delightful. This is because they reflect a thorough comprehension of the each list’s significance in a strategic leader’s life. I share the same sentiments with you that the strategic leadership competencies are an imperative requisite for effective task accomplishment, delivering strategic direction, and adapting to uncertainties. However, I am a little bit confused by your assertion that the “metacompetencies help round a leader to be an overall threat.” Perhaps you can elaborate on what an “overall threat” means in the context of strategic leadership. All the same, I agree with you that the metacompetencies enable leaders to progress and become individuals who offer strategic directions for groups of other people. I acknowledge your insinuation that the essential skills provide a framework of expectations for strategic leaders in terms of strengths to be depicted and weaknesses to be overcome. Lastly, I like the way you argue about how the competencies, essential skills, and metacompetencies compare with each other. Thank you.
