I have identified a bacteria called Tatumella Ptyseos. I need to know if I did a lactose fermentation test would the test result in a positive or negitive, and what would its appearance possibly be after an incubation time.
Also what would the results be after a sucrose fermentation test.
The actual question relates to conclusively identifying my bacterium. Verification lies with conducting a lactose and sucrose fermentation test using Phenol Red Lactose broth and phenol red sucrose broth. Yellow is positive and red is negitive.
